Memories...

This isn't a post about Europe, but I wanted to put it up anyways cause it's been on my mind a bunch lately.

Hmmm...kind of hard to get started....

Well, it's been almost a year since Lindsay died. For those that don't know she was a good friend who I grew up with, and she was killed in a car accident last year around this time. I'm not going to get into all the details of that...you can ask me some time if you want to know, I don't mind talking about it. Or there's some articles on Lindsay's website , with recent updates about the trial and stuff, and a guestbook. Here's a picture of her...she's one of the most beautiful people I know, she was a ballet dancer and so graceful. She loved every sort of dancing, and we went to our first raves together and discovered the world of trance music.

Anyways, this post is more because I wanted to put up some pictures of her and the rest of my friends growing up. We (me, my mom and my friend Aimee) made a scrapbook for her family...it was great to look through old pictures and remember all the fun times. Check it out:

Lindsay...I think this picture was from my 13th birthday party, shortly after a cake-eating contest, haha.

We grew up in the community of Woodlands, so this name kind of just evolved (there were the Woodlands Boys too, haha, our arch nemises ...for awhile at least ).

Pic from one of my birthday parties..murder mystery, haha, everybody got totally into dressing up for their character
back: Nikki, Karly, Vanessa
front: Linds, me, Morgan, Amy, Aimee

Various choir and band performances ...Clowns, Charlie Brown

At outdoor school in grade 6, that was an awesome week! Jenny Basie...oh you are were crazy one

Jr. High spring break school trip to Greece and Italy (I didn't go on this trip though...I think I'm making up for it this year!). They had an awesome time though, I was so jelouse

Random pics from around school.

Graduation!

Best buds (bottom left): me, Linds, Aimee and Morgan at grad. Lindsay made her own dress! My mom made mine :)

Various halloweens... party at Nikki's in grade 1 all the way up to halloween pub crawl a couple years ago. I think Lindsay made most of her later costumes, she was pretty awesome at sewing

Lots of fun moments in Girl Guides ...camps were always the best! That bridge at Camp Gardner was totally awesome, haha.

Even more fun that Girl Guides, basically all of our group of friends was in Pathfinders, so it was just bonus time for hanging out. Dressing up, camping, Stage West....good times :)

Kids Help Phone Bowl-a-thon that we volunteered at. We also had a team entered ...won the prize for loudest team, haha,
Lindsay, Desolie, Morgan, Aimee, me (top left)

One of Amy's music shows at Eau Claire

Various birthday parties at my house...one of them Lindsay decided to have food in her mouth for every picture (I think she suceeded, lol). She was always so happy and laughing all the time, guarenteed to make you smile :)

The time we tried to dye our hair with Kool-aid (totally unsucessful, lol, what a waste of time)

Birthday parties ...Lindsay and her funky style, I love how she can be such an individual and totally confident with herself

Amy, Morgan and Lindsay (bottom left), good friends :)

I'm glad to have so many awesome memories from growing up. Thinking about them is sad, but it's good to remember all the great time we had, and all the crazy fun. We miss you Lindsay, but you'll never be gone :)

I'm glad that you did this for Lindsay, Jacqui..I'm sure she would appreciate it. To expand on that, I also appreciate her death(as bad as that sounds) because it showed me that we are all mortal, no matter how young we are...Not invincible like I thought us young people were. Well done Jacqui.
