Christmas Party at Kehl

Kehl hosted a praktikant Christmas party last Wednesday. It would have been nice to have it on the weekend, but lots of people were leaving so we had it during the week instead. Oh well, nobody wants to waste a weekend being hungover, lol. The party was tons of fun and as a bonus we got no noise complaints from our neighbours! We're not sure yet if this is only because we bribed them with homemade cookies the day before, lol...oh well, as long as everyone's happy.

Everyone showed up around 9 with snacks to share (Adrienn and Evan made roasted chestnuts!), and we got the gift exchange underway. We did it white elephant style, with stealing and the whole 9 yards. There was lots of cool gifts, both store-bought and homemade. Some gifts worth mentioning: cool puzzle box (from Richard) from Budapest that Rebeca and I were fighting over (she won, booerns), Star Wars Lego set (from Shane) that Vance would have traded both his roommates and his soul for, cat food (the actual gift was a soccerball, but the initial unwrap was only catfood, oh Evan you are a crazy one), homemade eggnog and other stuff from Travis, a set of wine glasses that Adrienn brought, and loved so much that she ended up with them. Other gifts included various liquor, chocolate, and toys. A couple practical gifts too (who knew these even existed!)

After the civilized part of the night, Ziegel D showed up with the beer bong and things degraded from there. I'll let the pictures tell the story. In conclusion, our apartment suffered a bit, a lot of people didn't get any sleep that night, yet fun was had by all.

When Shane and Evan show up at your flat wearing their "givin 'er" outfits, you know that it will be a crazy night (and you should lock up your chairs)

Adrienn and Evan making roasted chestnuts (Evan swears he was making a scary face)

Rebeca opens a box, inside a box, inside a box, inside a box.

Henry opens the Star Wars Lego. Vance jumps up in excitement.

Vance steals the Star Wars Lego from Henry

After being in a lot of hands, the Lego is stolen once and for all by Travis from Vance's defeated hands. (Travis actually traded Vance back for the raclette set later, which he actually wanted but we convinced him that it would be funnier to steal the lego temporarily).

Richard opens the cat food from Evan. Meow!

Mmmm, Crown Royal, nice work Bernard

Watching the gift exchange

Lindsey opens bag of treats from Travis

Richard has some tea

Shane opens a bike repair kit. Devon is excited because maybe now Shane will return the one that he borrowed from Devon months ago

Let's get the real party started!!

Shane and Adrienn do the beer bong

Adrienn: "Hehe, that was fun!"
Shane: "It's a good thing I have this ribbon in my hair, or everyone would notice the beer all over my shirt"

Vance: 0
Cake: 1

Tommy, Travis, Richare, Shane and Lindsey (with Evan in the background)

Tommy and Shane do the beer bong

I think Shane had more fun that Tommy. What are you going to do about your wet shirt Tommy?

Tommy: "Devon, give me your shirt!"
(doesn't work)

Tommy tricks Vance and steals his t-shirt, for once Tommy is on the recieving end of a shirt steal!

Notice Tommy wearing Vance's shirt (inside out and backwards for some reason).

Somehow Richard managed to catch the flying Santa hat in mid-air for the photo, crazy...

Anthony and Olivier do the beer bong

Survived! (barely...)
Aww, it will be sad to see them both leave at the end of the month! Bye guys!

Santa Shane is after Vance's last remaining shirt (or so it looks like).

I should get some aviators

Evan and me posing, lol

Evan and his towel-bib to prevent spilling

Phil using my hair as a moustache

Ziegelhau having a group hug in the kitchen
Adrienn: "Tee-hee!!!"
Shane: "No spectators, get out!"
Evan: "Ahh, cover the camera!"

Tommy, game overed.

What a rough night...good thing I have to go to work in a few hours
