21st Birthday Martini Party

Happy Birthday to meeeee....
Well, I'm 21 now. Not too different from 20, though I guess I'm finally old enough to go gamble in Vegas. First birthday away from home, but still had a great time. Thanks to everyone who send me e-mails and cards and wished me happy birthday!

To celebrate, I decided to have a martini party. Everybody had to make up a tasty drink and then bring it to share. Most of them were really good, I was impressed with everyone's mad drink mixing skillz. Here's a list of some of the drinks people brought:

Kehl: blue vodka w/ pineapple, cherry or mystery (we couldn't figure out what the picture was of, or read the german lable) juice, garnished with cherries and pineapples
The Berg: vodka and iced tea, garnished with candy and a lemon slice (bonus points for candy)
Ziegelhau: mixture of stuff that involved carmel syrup and an egg (prize for weirdest drink)
Schadenmuhle: gin and vermouth garnished with a lychee fruit (looked questionable, but tasted good)

It was a really fun night, and everybody even sang happy birthday to me at one point (but luckily I didn't have to chug my drink). The next day wasn't so fun, but I guess that's what birthday's are all about, right ;)

Gotta give props to Richard for buying martini glasses. I looked but couldn't find any and I was in a rush so I gave up. Come home to find that he bought some...14 extra roommate points to you Richard!

Here's some pics!

Our beautifully decorated glasses (I did the decorating) (unfortunatly, we only had 2 actual martini glasses)

Henry, me, Lindsey, Vance and Tommy enjoying The Berg's creations (Richard almost made it into the picture)

Jaws (Travis) and James Bond (Warren) Shaken not stirred.... Nice work guys

Shane and Devon making sketchy stories on our fridge with magnets

Bernard, Lindsey and Richard mixing drinks

The birthday girl!

Henry and George..."Prost"! (aka, "cheers")

Charles, Adrienn and me (bad photo quality, unfortunatly)

Thumbs up for martinis!

Super excited (Tommy) meets un-excited (Lindsey). Tommy, it must be hard to hold your glass when you are sideways like that...

"I am far too cool for this party"...suuure you are Evan.

Me, Charles and Ravindra on the balcony

Hooray for Kehl having lots of room for parties!
